Working at Hartford Manor

Built 400 years ago, Hartford Manor is probably the oldest house in Hartford and was originally a farmhouse with outbuildings. Since then it has had a number of facelifts and extensions, including a purpose built call centre which was attached to the back of the building in the late 1960’s. It has been used as office premises since 1951.

Once the buildings were acquired by the Holidaybreak Group an extensive refurbishment programme was carried out to ensure that the accommodation was prepared to the highest standards possible. As well as looking impressive, the Manor House boasts a subsidised Staff Restaurant and shower/hair-drying facilities for anyone feeling energetic at lunchtime! The call-centre was designed with “state of the art” technology in mind. Outside the buildings, there is extensive car parking for staff and visitors alike.

The Company takes seriously its commitment to the welfare and development of all employees. Every employee benefits from appropriate training for his or her job and regular two-way appraisal. Good communication is also a priority via monthly Team Briefs, newsletters and a Staff Council. A staff handbook also details company policies relating to subjects such as Health and Safety at Work and Equal Opportunities. The Holidaybreak Camping Division has also received the Investor in People accreditation.
