Repair and Maintenance Engineer

We have exciting opportunities that involve the repair and maintenance of our fleet of mobile and holiday homes overseas. Your main responsibilities will be to repair accommodation, attach services to units, fit parts to mobile homes, clean soft furnishings and prepare units for sale or transfer. We will provide full training including gas safety training for all engineers.

         

Key Requirements

• You should be available to work from February to November

• Own your own vehicle and hold a full driving licence

• Experience of relevant practical and physical work

• Previous experience of team activities

• Previous work experience

• You should have lots of energy, basic common sense and a genuine desire to help people

• Excellent communication skills.

Repair and Maintenance

         

Duties

Detailed logistical planning of your workload and administration.

Organisation of your assistant’s workload.

Servicing of appliances to company guidelines and issuing gas safety certificates for each mobile home within your area.

Responsible for connecting and disconnecting services to the units.

Responsible for fitting of all parts and carrying out  repairs to mobile homes.

Responsible for repairing of faults arising during the season within agreed service guidelines.

Responsible for close down and winterisation of units (water, electricity, gas).

Preparation of units for sale and transfer.

Responsible for repairing staff bicycles.

To ensure safe keeping of company monies.

To submit accurate accounts paperwork.

To train and coach other on-site staff regarding the maintenance of accommodation, including other Engineers where applicable.

Under some circumstances the job description of the Repair and Maintenance Assistant may also apply.

To assist in other duties as reasonably requested by the Overseas Manager.
