Why did you decide to complete your work placement with Holidaybreak?
I got the job through college (Leeds City College) and once I had a few weeks out there I enjoyed it a lot especially with the swimming lessons.
What was your position with Holidaybreak during your Work placement?
Mini fun station courier/ mini swimmer.
What did this role involve?
I did mini fun station sessions and also 2 half hour sessions of swimming lessons with Children from ages 1-5.
Was this position relevant to your course?
Yes, I was taking a children’s courier course.
What did you learn during your work placement?
I learnt a lot about younger children and that scheduled activities are not suitable for all ages of children and also how quickly children learn things such as swimming and also how much satisfaction you can get out of this job.
Is there anything you would tell other students considering a placement with Holidaybreak?
GO FOR IT! It was the best summer so far and I am planning to go back next year, no doubt about it.
