College Placements
Introduction
If you are studying Travel, Tourism or Languages, a Holidaybreak Camping work placement could be an excellent opportunity for you to gain experience of working overseas.
Previous Placement Students
Previous students have completed their placement with us in a variety of roles such as: Courier, Children’s Courier, Team Leader and Montage Assistant.

Sheutling Tsang who worked for us as a Montage Assistant, Shuteling was a student from Swansea University.
Leslie Mouronval who worked for us as a Courier, Leslie was also a student from Swansea University.
Dawn Zymovek who worked for us as a Children Courier in Western Mediterranean France. Dawn was a Travel and Tourism Student from Leeds College.
Sapphire Samuels who worked for us as a Courier in the Vendee. Sapphire was from Leeds College studying a Children’s Courier Course.
What can we offer you
You will receive:

- A wage paid into your UK bank account every 2 weeks
- Guidance from your Overseas Regional Manager, Team Leader and on site team.
What can I gain from working for Holidaybreak?

- You may gain more practical skills from your Repair and Maintenance training, for example changing a gas bottle.

What is the duration of the placement?
You should be available for employment between 7th May and 15th September
We also offer a limited number of short term placements for the first half of the season (7th May until 15th July)
Can I request where I work?
If you want to work in a particular area due placement requirements, we will always try our utmost to do this for you.
Due to the nature of the business it is not always guaranteed are not always guaranteed.
How can this placement help me progress?
You will gain valuable experience in the below area:
- Team work
- Problem solving
- Administration experience
- Customer service experience
- Communication Skills
- Practical experience, such as repairing maintenance tasks.
- Opportunity to progress within the company
If you enjoy your first season working for Holidaybreak you may want to return and progress into a different position such as Team Leader, Children’s Courier, Area Administrator or Area Assistant.
A number of our employees return year after year, some people have now been employed for a number of years and many of our Overseas Regional Managers began their careers as Couriers.
During your time with Holidaybreak you may have the opportunity of working towards a qualification such as:
- Advanced Apprenticeship in Customer Service
- NVQ level 3 in Customer Service
- Level 2 Award in Team Leading
- Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading
