Children's Courier Team-Leader

Your role will involve the management, motivation and development of the Children’s Couriers to ensure they provide a varied range of quality activities in a fun, safe environment. Your role includes all the duties of a Children’s Courier so you will need to have experience of organising activities for children.

Key Requirements

  • • You should be available to work uninterrupted for a full season (April to mid September)

    • You should have lots of energy, basic common sense and a genuine desire to help people.

    • A good working knowledge of the English language

    • Basic numeracy

    • Previous experience of leading a team and working with children

    • Previous work experience

    • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Children's Couriers

Duties

To be responsible for the setting-up of the children’s clubs to company standards as laid down in the manuals, to ensure that the programme is ready for opening.

To manage, motivate and develop the on-site team including:

  • - Assess and monitor individual performance of Children’s Couriers (all positions)
  • - Appraise, train and develop staff.
  • - Allocate workload to ensure resources are fully utilised.
  • - Ensure staff meet company standards in all areas of the role, and deliver a high level of customer care.
  • - Support and guide staff in completion of any work based learning programmes.

To create a varied and balanced programme of activities for the children, ensuring the involvement of your team.

To ensure the highest possible safety standards are maintained at all times and that priority is given to awareness of safety policies within Holidaybreak.

To contribute to children’s health and well being.

To ensure the safe and effective use of both on and off-site facilities (off-site for Base only)

To encourage, care and maintain discipline of the children.

To ensure that administration is completed on time and accurately.

To be fully aware of information contained in the Overseas Manuals and to ensure that company policies and standards are maintained.

To deal effectively with any questions or problems that parents may raise, ensuring that parents constantly see an efficient and caring organisation.

To fulfil the Children’s Courier role (job description applies).

To carry out any other duties as required by the Overseas Manager.
