Bicycle Courier
To ensure that customers receive a holiday that meets / exceeds their expectations by providing a high level of service, and to ensure that the bicycle fleet is maintained to a high standard.
Duties
To ensure the bicycle fleet is regularly maintained and in good, safe condition for customers to hire out as required.
To repair any damaged bicycles and arrange for replacement parts where necessary.
To visit arriving customers and advertise the bicycle hire service.
To provide assistance and advise to customers regarding any aspect of the bicycle hire service.
To explore the local area and evaluate potential cycle routes.
To create a number of local bicycle tours that are suitable for varying ages and abilities.
To accompany Keycamp customers on a number of these routes per week.
To carry out monthly safety reporting procedures.
To be responsible for cash handling and credit/debit card transactions for on-site bicycle hire payment, ensuring the safe-keeping of any company monies.
To be familiar with information contained in your manual and ensure company policy and standards are maintained.
To assist in Courier duties as and when required.
To be involved in montage/demontage duties (according to your length of contract).
To remain flexible at all times with regards to duties and working hours.
Key Requirements
• Must have experience of reparing and maintaining bicycles
• You should be available to work uninterrupted for a full season (March / April to September/October) or a half season which can be a choice of March/ April to mid July or early July to September/October)
• Lots of energy, basic common sense and a genuine desire to help people.
• A good working knowledge of the English language
• Basic numeracy
• Previous experience of team activities
• Previous work experience
